Ted Peck-A day on the water with Cap’n Ted is more than just catching fish… It’s an educational experience about the symbiotic relationship of all creatures great and small on the complex and awesome Mississippi River, one of the greatest natural wonders on planet earth. A duke’s mixture of fish is waiting for you, somewhere between mussels on the bottom, otters on the surface and eagles sailing overhead. Understanding the grand scheme of nature is more intense on a river than on any lake. The mighty Mississippi can be – and often is – the most challenging water you will ever fish. Lessons learned on this amazing fishery will make you a better angler… maybe even a better person… especially if you bring a kid who thinks text messaging without looking at the keypad is the key to world domination.
Cap’n Ted specializes in bass, walleye, northern pike, catfish, and pan-fish, but cautions even the most precise species-specific presentation has the potential for producing virtually anything with fins that calls the majestic Mississippi home. When not guiding Cap’n Ted communicates the outdoors experience via newspapers, magazines, TV, radio, and through seminars. His work has taken him all over the Midwest, Canada, and beyond…but he always returns to the upper Mississippi which he considers the most diverse fishery in North America.
